Balanathan Benjamin Mahendran or commonly known asĀ Balu Mahendra,Ā was an IndianĀ cinematographer, director, screenwriter andĀ film editor. Born into aĀ Sri Lankan TamilĀ household, Mahendra developed a passion towards photography and literature at a tender age.
