Legends of the Hidden TempleThe legendary competition is back.
This supersized, adult version of the beloved '90s competition series preserves many elements from the original, but this time around, the entire show is taken out of the studio and scaled up with tougher challenges. Every episode is a hero's journey through a mysterious jungle, where five teams begin the journey, but only one is skilled enough to enter the ominous temple, avoid the dreaded temple guards, retrieve a lost treasure and return it to its rightful owner.

Not that great at writing reviews, but felt I should write one for this show. Grew up watching "Legends of the Hidden Temple" and so I had high expectations from this one. But regardless of my expectations, the show within 1 episode does enough to make me want to stop watching within the first 5 minutes of the show. The whole theme of this review is going to revolve around 1 word - "Cringe(y)" Where do I even start? **Intro**: The intro is very cringe, they could have revamped the original but no they had to shoot a fake intro with contestants "trying to" work hard? at achieving the goals. **Olmec Voice**: Even though Olmec is voiced by the same actor (Dee Bradley Baker), somehow he feels different. Possibly directed to sound different or his voice has deteriorated over the years and does not have the same effect it once had. **Contestants**: Contestants of the show were always kids / teens and that made the other kids connect with the show. I remember watching it and wanting to participate (even though I am from outside of US). But still the connection made me want to keep watching it. Now? The contestants are adults (if anyone says they are kids, they are definitely smoking something and should share it with the world). They are **_definitely_** not kids. More like models picked up for dime a dozen for a "reality tv" show. **Host**: Kirk Fogg was the **best** host! Cristela lacks the punch. There is no correlation, no back-story. Olmec says "Hey Cristela good to see you again!" as if she has hosted it before. So they missed a cue there. All in all, they are just cashing in on nostalgia and are doing a bad job of it. The entire cast overacts and is so cringe-worthy. Kids would have mellowed the show and made it watchable, but no they had to bring in hired struggling actors to act like kids / teens in a gameshow. All in all, its a pass. **_Do not waste your time on this show!_** Watch anything else.
