The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today *(Dekiru Neko wa Kyou mo Yuuutsu)* is a animation that is a good melding of Mystical meets Slice of Life. It is a story that follows the lives of a single office-working woman, Saku Fukuzawa, and her oddly oversized, highly astute, pet cat - Yukichi.\ In fact, Yukichi is quite literally Saka's "Alfred"; her steward. And she needed him, as she and her existence was quite strained upon his arrival. But Yukichi is prideful and honorable kitty. He intended to escape Saku's chaotic life, until he recalls her kindness to take him in. Feeling the need to even spiritual scales, he decides he will at least try to clean up before he departs. One thing leads to another and it is not long before has taken over ALL of Saku's home chores. He becomes so good at such detailed work, that Saku's life takes a drastic upswing in her health, acuity, and job performance. All things with Saku are so perfect, she worries when co-workers begin asking about how she maintains such good frame. She is admired for her stature, sought for her cooking skills as her lunches are delightful and nutritious, and envied for her resilence as she can recover from a night of after-work office party drinking. All this and Saku knows she has Yukichi to thank for such high praise.\ Comedy ensues when Saku's friends and work aquaintences - her very single and handsome Section Head - begin questions into her life. And Saku has to juggle explanations to those questions while having to keep from explaining Yukichi's involvement, extraordinary size, and more than adequate housekeeping abilities. For a series that has no dub, *The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today* is a surprisingly intriguing Slice of Life title that is a fun watch for viewers.
