WANT TO BET? – Several states have their eyes on New Jersey, where Gov. Chris Christie is trying to make sports gambling legal so he can tax it. But even if he succeeds in the Supreme Court, illegal bookmakers will still have a thriving business say two former mobsters who once took illegal bets. Jack Ford reports. Thirty-four years later, surviving members of the original gang from Lake Placid, New York, reminisce about how they created a moment in American history in their small village that could never be done today, as the games have become a multibillion-dollar media extravaganza. PREVIEW – Before Shaun White won Olympic snowboarding gold, there was Jeremy Jones, whose wild rides on some on the steepest mountains inspired a generation of riders. Now this pioneer is upping the ante as he takes his board to some of the most remote mountain ranges on the planet, where even helicopters can’t go. Sharyn Alfonsi reports.
